Since we are located in the heart of Peachtree Corners, we also have a heart for the people in this city and the surrounding areas.
In the first chapter of Acts, just before He ascended, Luke records that Jesus told his disciples to wait for him in Jerusalem and that they would "receive power when the Holy Spirit" comes upon them, and Jesus also said that they would be His witnesses "in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” Acts 1:8
We, too, as modern-day disciples of Jesus Christ, are called to be witnesses in our Jerusalem, the surrounding areas, and even to the ends of the earth. Our Jerusalem is the city of Peachtree Corners. Though we also send out disciples to other parts of the world, we start right here at the intersection of Peachtree Corners Circle and Spalding Drive.
By working year-round with organizations such as Kids Hope USA and the Norcross Co-Op, we are working to reach our comminity with the love of Christ. We also sponsor one-time events, like the upcoming Empty Bowls event, which will help raise money to feed the hungry in our community.
Ongoing ways you can help our local elementary school, Peachtree Elementary:
If you haven’t already done so, please pick up a Publix key tag from the little basket on the credenza under the TV monitor in the narthex, and use it each time you shop. Publix will donate a portion of all sales to the school when a key tag is used. Please also save any pink “Box Tops for Education” (please no orange “Labels for Education,” as these aren’t usable by the school) off of foods, paper goods, etc. you purchase. There is a box on the credenza in which you can leave these. The school gets 10 cents for each label they redeem, and they were thrilled to get our most recent donation. Thank you for helping!
