An Associate Reformed Presbyterian minister for over 16 years, Rev. Dorr graduated with a Masters of Divinity degree with honors from Erskine Theological Seminary in Due West, SC. He holds a bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Grove City College, Grove City, PA. He has done graduate studies at The University of South Carolina and Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando, Fl.
After serving four years as the pastor of the Dutch Fork Presbyterian Church in Imo, SC, John became the Senior Pastor at the First Presbyterian Church of Sebring, FL. In 1999, Rev. Dorr became the civilian Protestant Chaplain for the US Army Missile Test site on the Island of Kwajalein in the Republic of the Marshall Islands.
In 2002, he accepted the call to serve Peachtree Corners Presbyterian Church.
Rev. Dorr, his wife Kathy, and their two children, J.C and Hannah, live in the Peachtree Corners community.
